September 29, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Free

Become a Utah Cultural Site Steward and attend our FREE training on Thursday, September 29th in Vernal, Utah.

About this event

In partnership with the Utah Rock Art Research Association (URARA) Symposium, the Utah Cultural Site Stewardship Program will be providing a new steward training for anyone who is interested!

You will learn what it means to be a site steward and how you can continue to help safeguard Utah’s history.

  • The training will begin on the 29th at 9:00 AM at the Uintah County Heritage Museum in Vernal, UT. The training will take place in a classroom setting until 12:00 PM.
  • After the classroom portion, attendees will be able to take a personal lunch break and explore the beautiful town of Vernal.
  • At 1:30 PM we will all caravan to a local historical site and spend a few hours getting some in the field training and going through how to use the site monitoring app.

Becoming a Utah Cultural Site Steward is a great way for all ages to learn about and protect Utah’s history, while also educating others on how to properly enjoy all historical sites throughout the state.

We hope to see you there!
