Tour of a Railroad Ghost Town: Terrace, Utah

This event will be a guided tour of Terrace, one of the largest towns, now completely abandoned, on the original Transcontinental Railroad in northern Utah. The tour will be led by archaeologists from the Bureau of Land Management and the Utah SHPO who have been actively researching Terrace for the past several years. Tour-takers will learn about the history of Terrace, the results of recent archaeological research at the site, and the role Terrace played in the development of the railroad in one of the most remote parts of Utah. The number of participants will be limited to as many as can comfortably fit in eight standard sized passenger vehicles (approximately 25-30 people).
