Guided Tour of Building 55

Now preserved as a living time capsule of early life at Camp (and later Fort) Douglas, Building 55 (aka Building 655 or the Post Commander’s House), plays an important role of interpreting a unique piece of Utah history amidst the modern University of Utah Campus.

Join experts from Preservation Utah for a guided tour into Fort Douglas’s past. The building is maintained as it would have been 100+ years ago and with the knowledge of your tour guide you will experience Utah’s early military life as you never have before.
