Archaeological Tour of Danger Cave State Monument

Danger Cave is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Great Basin. With evidence of human use going back 12,000 years, Danger Cave holds the record of Indigenous use of the Great Basin since the end of the last Glacial Maximum (ice age) into historic times. This site is part of Danger Cave State Monument, established by the Utah Legislature in 2019 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark. You can visit this site with professional archaeologists and view artifacts recovered from archaeological work completed at the site during the 1990s. There will also be replica artifacts, lessons on making cordage using yucca fiber, atlatl demonstrations and more.

Fees: $20 for adults. $15 for kids 8 yrs – 15 yrs
