On October 26, 1862 the United States Army established Camp Douglas on the benches of Salt Lake Valley. For 162 years, this military post, now called Fort Douglas has been a fixture of Utah history. Please join the Fort Douglas Military Museum and all their partners for a day of events, ongoing archaeology excavations open house, and explore the Military Museum all surrounded by the University of Utah campus.
