With Great Power Comes Great Hydroelectricity

May 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join architect Jansen Bennett on a virtual tour of one of the oldest hydroelectric power plants in western North America. The duo will debut a video tour of the Olmstead Hydroelectric Plant, located at the mouth of Provo Canyon and take questions from a live audience. The Olmstead Plant is still in use today, and with every passing year new technological upgrades have been made to the plant complex that result in a fascinating tour through time. From the earliest days of convincing the populace that electricity was safe in their homes to now powering the water supply for over 1 million Utahns, the Olmstead Hydroelectric Plant has served the community. Now is your chance to peek inside and learn the history of this complex.
