Arts Express Summer Conference

The Utah SHPO will join the Arts Express Summer Conference to debut a new K-12 lesson plan about the use of ochre as paint around the world!

This two-day event provides arts integration instruction in all five art forms—dance, drama, media arts, music, and visual arts—with special insights on ways to integrate the arts with core curricula. The conference is for elementary classroom teachers, administrators, and parents; we suggest that they attend together as they work to create a school rich in arts instruction and integration.

Sponsors include the Utah Division of Arts and Museums, Tanner Dance from the University of Utah, Plan-B Theatre, and other POPS organizations. The conference includes outstanding guest artists, both visual and performing to inspire and teach workshops and celebrate ways to improve our classroom practice.
