St George Archaeology Hike

Join archaeologists from St. George and the Utah SHPO on a morning hike through the Tonaquints A Site!

A proposed archaeology park at the confluence of the Virgin and Santa Clara Rivers. The site is a Pueblo village that was occupied between AD 650 – AD 1175 and would have been home to several Pueblo families. Our visit to the site will highlight the homes and hearths that people used and we will talk about future plans that will allow the site to honor St. George’s diverse heritage.
