Archaeological Excavation at Alta, Utah

Join us on Saturday, September 6th from 1:00 – 3:30pm to experience the first ever archaeological excavation of main street in the historic town of Alta. Head up to Alta Ski Resort for tours and first hand accounts from the archaeologists that were part of this project. While you are there, check out the fascinating artifacts that were recovered and see what remains 150 years later.
- Registration not required – stop by anytime between 1:00pm and 3:30pm
- The excavation site is at the base of Alta Ski Resort, near the Snowpine Lift and Transfer Tow
- Parking is available at the Albion Basin lot
- There will be construction equipment in the area. Please be cautious
- Use designated trails or roads to access the excavation site
